How do I verify a deck box?
Two ways, both the same in the end. Open the Verify page and hold the QR plate, sealed into the underside of the deck box, up to the camera: it reads the plate and opens the record by itself. Or point your phone's normal camera app at the plate and open the link it offers. Either way you see whether the item is authentic, which tournament it came from, its edition number and its current status. Scanning is the only way in: the plate carries a QR code and nothing else, so there is no code to type and no app to install.
Do I need an account to verify an item?
No. Verification is public and works without signing in. That is the point. Anyone considering a trade or purchase can check an item first. You only need an account to register ownership.
Why do I need to log in to register ownership?
Registering ownership attaches a deck box to a person. An account gives that record something to attach to, lets you manage your collection later, and means only you can act on your items.
How do I register a deck box I own?
Sign in, then scan the box's QR plate. The record that opens offers to register it to your account, and you choose the name shown publicly against it. Whoever registers first takes the next free slot, so register a box when it reaches you rather than leaving it.
How many owners can a deck box have?
Three on a standard run. The number of ownership slots is fixed for each deck box when it is produced, and its verification page always shows how many slots it has and how many are filled. Once every slot is taken, that box is permanently closed to new registrations.
Can ownership be transferred?
Yes. The current owner generates a one-time transfer code from the Transfers page and hands it to the new owner, who redeems it to take the next ownership slot. The code works once and expires if it is not used. The deck box keeps its full history: earlier owners stay on the record.
What happens when a deck box is reported stolen?
Its verification page shows a clear Reported as Stolen state, so anyone who scans it before buying or trading sees the warning immediately. The ownership record stays intact.
Is my email visible publicly?
No. Verification pages show public display names only. Your email address is never shown to other users, and you can change your display name at any time from your profile.
